Everywhere I look: Bitches
I keep seeing all these girls walking around with sorority jackets and it makes me wonder why anybody would actually want to be a part of something like that. I just feel like it's so pointless and for those of you who say, "ooooooh it will help me get a job!", BULLSHIT. When I own my own company or business or am a bum (whatever) I am NOT going to hire you because you were probably just really mean to people in your little sorority and you probably just care wayyyy too much about being accepted by an organized click. And I'm sorry, but raising money by having a hot tub party with a bunch of drunk college kids isn't really that noble. If your intentions are to give back to the community, joining a sorority isn't really the first place I would start.
p.s. This also refers to frats. I just notice sororities more often because for some reason I only have women in my classes and they all insist on wearing their little jackets to class. But actually, now that I think about it, frats are just as annoying. I occasionally hear them screaming outside my building at odd hours of the night.

"I was drawn to all the wrong things: I liked to drink, I was lazy, I didn’t have a god, politics, ideas, ideals. I was settled into nothingness; a kind of non-being, and I accepted it. I didn’t make for an interesting person. I didn’t want to be interesting, it was too hard. What I really wanted was only a soft, hazy space to live in, and to be left alone."
